The easiest way to reach Pennywell Farm is by car, and free parking is available on-site.

There is no direct bus service to Pennywell Farm. However, the A38 runs between Plymouth and Exeter and stops in Buckfastleigh, which is just over a mile away. The nearest train station is in Totnes, 7 miles from Pennywell.

Pennywell Farm is owned by the Murray family. It was opened in 1989 by Chris and Nicky Murray and remains a family-run attraction.

Pennywell Farm is a great place to visit rain or shine! If it rains for 30 minutes or more during your visit, you are eligible for our Rainy Day Guarantee—a free return visit within 7 days. Visit the Pennywell Shop before you leave to claim your return pass.

To use your Rainy Day Return Ticket, simply book your visit online using the ‘Wet Weather Return’ ticket option, and bring your return ticket along with proof of ID.

Yes! Season tickets offer unlimited visits and are available for purchase Season Tickets.

Yes! Pennywell Farm has several food outlets:

  • The Coffee Cabin – Open daily, offering locally baked treats, fresh sandwiches, pasties, and hot and cold drinks.
  • Noah’s Barn Takeaway & The Coffee Shack – Open weekends and school holidays, serving stone-baked pizzas and authentic German hot dogs.
  • Picnic Areas – Visitors are welcome to bring their own food and enjoy our designated picnic spots.

Yes! Pennywell Farm offers Piggy Cuddles at every session. For the comfort of our pigs, a pet blanket must be used—these are available in our shop or you can bring your own.

Dogs are not allowed inside the farm; however, we provide free dog kennels in a quiet, shaded area of our car park. You’ll need to bring a water bowl and, if desired, a padlock for extra security.

Assistance dogs are welcome if they have received full training and certification from an accredited organisation. Visitors must complete our Assistance Dog Declaration Form before visiting.

Yes, all visitors—including season ticket holders—must book in advance online via our ticket page.

Yes! Simply book new tickets for your preferred date, then email us at info@pennywellfarm.co.uk with both order numbers, and we will refund the incorrect booking. Please note that the booking fee will not be refunded.

We do not offer refunds, but you can:

  • Reschedule your visit.
  • Transfer your tickets to a friend or family member.

While we don't offer concessions for those working in the military, or NHS, we do offer a slightly discounted rate for seniors, students, and carers accompanying a person with disabilities on the day of your visit. Check our ticket page for details.

Yes, baby changing stations are available in our main toilet facilities. They're cleaned regularly and are accessible to all.

You’re welcome to bring a pushchair, though please note that some parts of the farm have uneven ground or gravel paths.

We offer a few quiet corners on the farm, and our staff are happy to help you find a comfortable spot. We're proud to be a welcoming and inclusive venue for all families.

From miniature pigs and baby goats to ponies, donkeys, alpacas, rabbits, and more, there’s a whole farmyard of friendly animals to meet!

We offer a full schedule of hands-on activities throughout the day, including piggy cuddles, bottle feeding, goat milking, ferret racing, and more. Check the daily timetable when you arrive.

Yes! All activities and rides, such as the Red Rocket and Tractor Trailer are included in your admission (except coin-operated rides).

Feeding is available for some animals under supervision, and feed is available to purchase at the farm shop.

We do our best to make the farm accessible, though due to the nature of the countryside terrain, some areas may be more challenging. Please contact us in advance so we can advise on specific needs.

Yes, we have well-maintained toilets including accessible facilities, baby changing, and family-friendly areas.

Yes, our farm shop is open daily, selling farm-themed toys, gifts, snacks, and pet blankets for Piggy Cuddles.
