Be a Half Term Superhero!

Animal Superheroes of the Farmyard will be theme as the team at Pennywell Farm head into the Summer Half Term week.

To begin the long awaited school holidays there will be a circus themed weekend with circus skills workshops and shows on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May with Alison Lewis and Spangles and the Clown.

In addition to all the famous half hourly activities like bottle feeding, ferret racing, goat milking and pond dipping, there will be a daily half term challenge to find out about the superheroes of the farmyard with a fantastic daily prize. Staying with the superhero theme, all children visiting on Wednesday 31st May (or Superhero Wednesday) can arrive dressed as their favourite superhero to have FREE admission to the farm for the day.

Don’t forget that at 2.30pm every day, we have our every popular and always spectacular, Miniature Pig Racing with the world famous Pennywell Miniature Pigs. Our piggy cuddles barn is always open for you to enjoy snuggles with the piglets and you can meet the rabbits, guinea pigs, ducklings, hedgehogs, tortoises and mice in the pets area.

Pennywell is Devon’s friendliest day out and there are more than 200 friendly animals to meet, a different activity every half hour, four FREE farm rides, a tractor village, trampolines and acres of Farmyard Fun. Plus, for a small additional charge, you can enjoy a ride on a pony or donkey from our stables. Make sure you book when you arrive.

A full week of half term fun is rounded off on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th June with the wild and wonderful singer/songwriter Poco Drom who will be performing in the theatre at 1pm and 3pm. If you love music and you love animals, Poco Drom is your man. He’s not quite a superhero but he does have a tail!
