Christmas is Coming
It’s so beautiful at Pennywell this time of year.
The Christmas trees, Christmas lights, the smell of mulled wine and mice pies floating across the Farmyard and the gentle sound of Christmas Carols playing in the background. There really isn’t anything like it.
I’m getting quite old for a Shire horse and like most elderly humans, age can bring a few health problems, aches and pains etc but it doesn’t matter what age you are, there is something about Christmas that brings out the child (or foal) in all of us.
December is really magical at Pennywell and hearing the Christmas Nativity story every day from Luke’s gospel is a privilege and a daily reminder of how much God loves us. The birth of Jesus can often be overlooked as people worry about buying Christmas presents and who to and not to invite for Christmas dinner.
My one Christmas wish, is that you take some time this December to be thankful for the hope that God gave us at Christmas in the form of the baby Jesus.
Hope to see you at the farm this December.
