We may be more famous for our hands on, animal activities than our cutting edge technology but South West Tourism have named our website, ‘Tourism Website of the Year’ in the South West Tourism Excellence Awards 2007. The awards dinner and ceremony took place on Monday at the Palace Hotel, Torquay and Pennywell’s Chris Murray accompanied by his daughter, Henrietta was there to collect the prestigious Gold Award. The website was praised by the judges for fully integrating with the concept of the attraction; bright, bold and family friendly. The site was designed by Integralvision of Ashburton, to whom we are eternally grateful!
The award is not the first for the site which has been named as, Site of the Week by New Media Age Magazine and was a finalist in the 2007 Media Innovation Awards. The website will now go forward to represent the South West in the national Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2007/8.
